New Homestead
So in addition to the one of the busiest times of the year at the winery and having a 9month old first child, Devon and I decided to complicate matters further by buying a house. It's been a crazy month, including negotiating offers at 1am while in Detroit for the Final Four. The good news is that we should close on time this Wed, May 13th. We're obviously super excited, but I'll wait until I have the keys in hand and we're done moving before I exhale. Everyone is welcome to visit of course! The next time you swing by Ripon, California, please drop in.
Interesting fact: the closest cross street is "Devon Lane".

You forgot to mention that you'll be bringing Jaya and a case of wine to the New Years in June bash.
Congratulations!
I have to warn you...moving with a crawling baby is a big pain! (But I'm sure it'll be worth it to have your own place!)
Aside from the Toyota in the driveway, it's beautiful! Congrats and best of luck with the move!
His and Hers garages? Looks awesome. I love the color of the shutters.
That's fantastic. The house looks amazing.
We're closing the same day in Richmond. Unfortunately, we don't have a good cross street. In fact, the name of the street that the house is on (Lady Allison Lane) seems the result of a self-indulgent builder who used family names for street names.
That seems to be a theme in Richmond--I grew up on Lady Ashley Road. Best wishes to the Walshes as you guys move!
nice digs, fasanis! do you have the makings of a private vineyard in your backyard? or is that space reserved for a shrine in lincoln's honor.
Actually, the side yard where the 4Runner is parked is definitely big enough for a garden. I'm thinking of running vines along the fence (to make wine for sure), dwarf fruit trees (for limoncello/lime-cello/orange-cello production), and basic herbs like basil, cilantro, CHIVES, etc. We'll see what happens when we try to work out the backyard landscaping. Right now, I have a lovely yard of weeds. There is no shrine to Lincoln allowed - except maybe in the "his" garage with memorial holes in the wall and random pong paddles on the ground. I'll call Josh to come fix the holes at some point because he was the best Houseman ever. Ooooh, that sucker punch caught Lincoln off-guard!
maybe there will be a shrine to former brother spanky instead.
I really cannot believe that you JONATHAN are the one resurrecting that memory. If I were you, I'd let that nickname DIE. Although, I really cannot suppress laughter when I read/hear it. I think the name alone sealed your fate.
By the way, Rob, I almost forgot to mention, given the 9 month old, I suggest that you don't unpack. Pretty much everything of value ends up getting packed away when they start walking anyway. Truthfully, moving at 9 months may be the way to go, since you have to pack it all up anyway ;)
