Get Random House to Donate Books

For every birthday card the Cat in the Hat receives, Random House Children's Books will donate one book to First Book.

I thought about sending an email, but thought it might just get deleted, so if you're interested in sending a card or learning more, check it out for yourself here.

"Coloring" the card is easy, so BLD Gen 2 might enjoy it.

Reva's sitting unassisted now, which is exciting. There's not really anything else to share from around here. Our big news is usually slightly depressing - "Most dishes are clean." "Laundry is finally folded." "Whole family is dressed and in the church pew before mass begins." and so on...

I, too, can blog

I can now blog as well.

Congratulations, Mo, on the Colts' super bowl victory.

Congratulations, Tiffany, on baby Eliza! Three kids looks like a good time.

I thought it would be good to post a picture of our boys to prove I am not stuck in the dark ages.

Congratulations, me.

I'm here!

Thanks Jill for getting me straightened out. I've missed the blog.

I don't know what happened to January, but large periods of the month seem to be missing from my memory. It's taken a little while to get back on track. Other than the rountine sleepless nights, we also took an unexpected 10-day trip to Ohio. My grandfather, who was diagnosed with bone cancer in August, took a turn for the worse and died the day after we got there. So we ended up staying a whole extra week, instead of just the weekend as we'd planned. It was a good trip, though, all things considered. He knew we were there and got to see Eliza before he died. (She's named after his mother.) And Amanda and Caitlyn got to enjoy some real snow while at Grandma's house.

We're all doing well right now. Little Eliza has slept through the night the last two nights, which has been awesome. She'll be eight weeks tomorrow and she seems so big already. Amanda and Caitlyn are adjusting well. I have some cute pictures that I'll post if I can figure out how. I also finally got Eliza's baby announcement printed this week, but who knows if I'll actually get a chance to mail it to any of you.

We're looking forward to seeing everyone at the Hurst wedding in May. It works out nicely for us, since it also happens to be the weekend of my mother's birthday. She's planning a huge family picture while we're in Ohio.

Hope you're all doing well,

Tiffany

Waaaaaasssssuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuup v2

I will also post something new. I'm not fishing for congratulations, but Devon and I celebrated our 3 yr anniversary today (Feb 7). Yes, it's been that long since you all last visited California. We're still newlyweds too (think romance Lincoln, not just what came to your mind). Anyway, that's the latest out west in NorCal. See you all in Cincinnati WKRP in May.

Wasssuuuuuppppp????

I don't have anything earth-shattering to report. I just got tired of seeing the same post every day when I check this site (despite the fact that it is a lovely post, Modee).

The swim season, from which I "retired," is almost over. Just a couple more weekends. As I have told many of you already, instead of being done with coaching, I now find myself helping out four teams in some way or another. Oh well. Maybe next year.

Hillary and I are doing well. She moved a few more belongings from her apartment to my house over the weekend, as we continue to decorate my bachelor pad and transform it into something more suitable for the two of us in just a few months. Also, since New Years, I have had the luxury of housing both cats at all times now. Yippee. Actually, I like them, despite the fact that I don't. Except for the litter boxes.

Work is going well. The company is representing a number of good athletes in the upcoming draft (at the end of April). And I'll be going to the Combine in Indianapolis again this year at the end of February.

Speaking of trips, Hillary and I are going to Grand Bahama Island for our honeymoon. Pray for good weather, few people, and safe travels. Who knows when the boss man will let me have another week of vacation? It could be years. I have to take full advantage of this one.

Well, to wrap up this exhilarating post, I hope all of you are doing well. And I hope that those of you who have been unable to post on this new-fangled website are soon able to do so. And I hope that Doug fixes it STAT so that I don't have to continue opening up another window to view the comments, because that takes up a really long portion of my day that could be better served playing euchre against the computer.
