I suppose...

You never know when random facts about Delaware might come up in conversation.

I learned this morning that the husband of one of the ladies in my Bible study is a vet who specializes in poultry. She explained that though she is from Massachusetts, they couldn't live there because of the lack of poultry farms. I recalled some information that I heard long ago, and shared with her that a friend from college once told us that there was some crazy number of chickens per person in the state of Delaware. "Oh yes," she nodded knowingly, "my husband goes there a lot."

It made me smile to think that perhaps it wasn't completely useless information after all.

I don't know what's more amazing, TNT - the fact that this actually came up in conversation, or the fact that you actually remembered it.

I'm not surprised at all.

I'm still haunted at night by dreams of being chased around by nine hundred chickens and Lincoln's friend Paul carrying a bowl of pasta and an axe, singing, "I once had a highway, that wouldn't give off ramps..."

Perhaps there should be an on-line support group, Those Affected By Lincoln (TABL). Maybe we can have our own blog. Or perhaps we already do.

It's funny that you mention the chickens in DE. We represent Perdue Farms in a lot of workers' comp cases, and I am learning way, way too much about the whole chicken processing world. Dan, I don't really get the first part of your comment, though Paul does have a maniacal streak.

Laura, we may also need an online support group for Those Who Don't Understand Dan (TWDUD).

Can I join that group?

Haha. I have to give the BLD credit for having the most elaborate, imaginative, Tim Burton-esque inside jokes ever. Or maybe they are just inside jokes for Dan himself.
