Adin's birthday
Yesterday was Adin's birthday. If you were thinking about her all day like I was, and missing her, I have an idea to make her next birthday a little better for each of us.
We should all host regional Adin's birthday parties. It's unlikely that she would be able to attend any or all of them, but at least the rest of the world could celebrate her birthday, even in her absence. We could hang up pictures of her, wear grass skirts and leis, and the like.
Another thought I have is that it is exceedingly unfair that Adin lives in Hawaii. Imagine how unfortunate for all those who don't get to hang out with her. They have to go through every day not only not seeing Adin Kawate, but also not living in Hawaii. It's like a double whammy.
Instead, Adin should live in somewhere harsh and cold like Saskatoon. Then people would say, "yeah, I'm stuck in frigid Saskatoon, but at least I get to see Adin Kawate." And others in Hawaii would say, "Well, I don't get to see Adin anymore, but at least I'm in Hawaii."
Just some thoughts.

My goodness...that's enough to make a girl blush.
But the thought of people putting my picture up around the country is quite entertaining.
Speaking of entertaining, I now work in the business of getting kids to like science, which is mildly entertaining since to my company that really means technology and engineering but I am an environmental biology major.
I need to learn physics fast. =)
Love and miss you all which does make Hawaii seem not as cool.
ps. working hard to get to the reunion. I should know for sure in a week or two.
Dan,
You impress me with your kind thoughts and time to type them. I don't know how yous guys (I'm not saying y'all, so just get over that) do it with multiple little people. I really don't!!
How jealous we'll be if Adin makes it to reunion and everyone sees her while we're sitting at home.
I only hope baby arrives sooner rather than later this time. Then I won't have to mope too long before he or she makes an outside appearance. (It might be the only way to avoid an 11 pound baby, too, with my luck.)
Hope your birthday was great, Adin!
i remember when dan celebrated my birthday by sending me a big box with a bunch of bizarre things in it along with an equally bizarre letter. i need to find that letter and post it on the blog. the NSA would probably be interested.
