IT help

Anyone know how to compress a movie? I'm trying to make a silly video fit into 100 MB.

Doesn't someone in the BLD know something about movies or computers?
I'm looking in the direction of Maurissa and Doug (that is, east northeast).

I need more info about what kind of system you're on and what kind of programs you have at your disposal. I think the easiest is Quicktime Pro and then you choose your export settings to get it down to 100 MB. You might have to play around a little bit with different settings b/c obviously the compression needed to get it to 100 MB depends on the length and size or the original movie. But if you have a different compression program you're trying to use, let me know. Just email me and I can help more.

It looks like I wasn't much help to Dan, so if anyone knows of any video compression freeware, please pass it along to him. I'm a big fan of QT Pro but it does cost about $30...unfortunately I just don't know any other options that I'd trust to download.
